Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Field Salesman to manage and grow our household products portfolio across hypermarkets and modern trade outlets. The role covers the Muscat region as well as the Interior and Batinah Coast. The ideal candidate will be responsible for customer relationship management, product placement, sales growth, and ensuring brand visibility in assigned retail chains.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
· Sell a range of household products and multiple brands to hypermarkets and modern trade outlets.
· Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by actively managing key accounts and opening new doors.
· Negotiate promotions, product listings, and shelf space with buyers and store managers.
· Develop strong working relationships with category buyers, department heads, and store-level decision-makers.
Route Management:
· Plan and execute daily field visits across assigned territory (Muscat, Interior, and Batinah Coast).
· Ensure scheduled store visits, with proper coverage of all key accounts.
Merchandising & Brand Visibility:
· Monitor and maintain optimal shelf presence, pricing, and planogram compliance.
· Oversee product displays, shelf cleanliness, and stock rotation to minimize expiry and damage.
· Coordinate with in-store merchandisers for continuous brand visibility.
Inventory & Order Management:
· Collect orders and ensure timely deliveries in coordination with logistics and warehouse teams.
· Monitor stock levels at stores, suggest replenishment, and report stock issues or fast-moving SKUs.
Reporting & Market Feedback:
· Submit daily visit reports, order summaries, and competitor activity.
· Provide market intelligence, consumer insights, and feedback on product performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Minimum 2–3 years of field sales experience in FMCG/household products, preferably within the Oman market
· Valid Oman driving license and willingness to travel extensively
· Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
· Knowledge of key modern trade players in Oman (e.g., Hypermax, Lulu, Nesto, etc.)
· Proficient in basic reporting and use of MS Excel / mobile sales tools
