We are looking for a dedicated and organized Café Supervisor to support the daily operations of our café, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth workflows. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food and beverage industry, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for providing a great customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support:
Assist in the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring that service runs smoothly and efficiently.
Support in the preparation and delivery of high-quality food and beverages to customers.
Ensure that all café areas are clean, organized, and meet safety and hygiene standards.
Monitor the staff during their shifts, ensuring proper service standards and customer satisfaction.
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer needs, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
Assist customers with menu choices, making recommendations when needed, and ensuring they have a positive dining experience.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively and efficiently to maintain satisfaction.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and assist café staff, ensuring a productive and motivated team.
Train and guide new employees on proper café procedures and customer service expectations.
Delegate tasks to team members and ensure that responsibilities are completed in a timely manner.
Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and supporting professional development.
Inventory & Stock Control:
Assist in monitoring inventory levels, ensuring that supplies are stocked and available for daily operations.
Report any inventory shortages, waste, or issues to the café manager.
Support in receiving and storing deliveries in accordance with café procedures.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure that the café complies with all health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and proper food handling standards.
Assist in maintaining the café’s environment to meet local regulations and company standards.
Support Café Operations:
Assist in the preparation and execution of special promotions or events to attract customers.
Work with the café manager to implement operational improvements and optimize service.
Qualifications:
Experience:
At least 2-3 years of experience in a food service or café environment.
Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills and Attributes:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and staff effectively.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
Knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
