We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Muscat. The successful candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design, detailing, technical documentation, and coordination related to steel and tensile structure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis, design, and engineering calculations independently.
• Prepare professional design calculations and calculation reports.
• Design steel structures, steel connections, base plates, and concrete foundations.
• Develop practical and executable 3D concept designs.
• Prepare detailed drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Prepare MTO / BOQ and material quantity take-offs.
• Prepare Design Basis / Design Criteria, technical submittals, and RFIs.
• Review and respond to consultant comments and technical queries.
• Apply Value Engineering to optimize structural weight, cost, fabrication, and installation.
• Coordinate design requirements with fabrication, procurement, production, and site teams.
• Ensure designs consider practical fabrication, welding, assembly, transportation, and installation requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Structural Engineering experience is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in steel structures and tensile structures.
• Strong understanding of steel connections, welding, and fabrication detailing.
• Ability to work independently on structural analysis and design.
• Good command of English.
• AutoCAD 2D/3D is highly preferred.
• Tekla Structures or equivalent software is an advantage.
• Experience in Form-Finding and Tensile Membrane Analysis is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of galvanizing, protective coatings, and corrosion protection is an advantage.
• No specific structural analysis software is mandatory; practical structural design competency is essential.

Employment Details

Salary: OMR 300–800 per month, inclusive of allowances.
Accommodation: Shared accommodation provided by the company.
Transportation: Provided when required for work.
Work Location: Muscat, with projects across the Sultanate of Oman.
