Quantity Surveyor – Roads, Bridges & Dams (Oman Experience Required)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a proven background in Oman's infrastructure sector, specifically on roads, bridges, and dam projects. The candidate must be fully capable of handling the tendering process, BOQ preparation, invoicing, payment follow-up, and monthly cost/account calculations from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and submit tender documents for road, bridge, and dam projects
Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and take-offs from drawings and specifications
Carry out cost estimation and budgeting for new and ongoing projects
Raise client invoices and follow up on payment collection
Prepare monthly Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) and reconcile accounts
Track project costs against budget and report variances
Prepare and evaluate variation orders, claims, and final accounts
Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on all commercial and contractual matters
Maintain organized records of contracts, correspondence, and financial documentation
Ensure compliance with Oman Ministry of Transport specifications and standard measurement methods
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
Minimum [X] years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor specifically on road, bridge, and/or dam projects in Oman
Strong hands-on experience with tendering, BOQ preparation, invoicing, and monthly account reconciliation
Solid knowledge of Oman MTCIT specifications, FIDIC contracts, and local measurement standards
Proficient in QS software (CostX, Candy, Bluebeam) and MS Excel
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
