We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Xero and QuickBooks, and the ability to interpret financial data to drive better business decisions—particularly within the restaurant and food service industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Perform bank and account reconciliations
Use Xero and QuickBooks for bookkeeping and reporting
Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasting
Analyze cost trends and business performance, especially food costs, labor, and overhead
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations
Provide insights to support strategic decisions in restaurant operations
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience in accounting roles (preferably 2+ years)
Proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks
Strong analytical and financial interpretation skills
Familiarity with restaurant or hospitality financial operations is a must
Excellent attention to detail and organization
Strong communication and reporting skills
Nice to Have:
Experience with POS system integrations
Understanding of inventory and food cost tracking
Background in multi-branch restaurant businesses
