Job Title: Fire & Safety Engineer
Job Summary:
The Fire Safety Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing fire safety systems, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations, conducting site visits, performing risk assessments, and submitting designs and reports to the Royal Oman Police (ROP) for approval. The role also involves providing fire safety consultations and collaborating with project teams to ensure safety measures are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design fire safety systems (e.g., fire alarms, sprinklers, emergency lighting) and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct site visits to inspect fire safety measures and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to perform risk assessments and provide fire safety advice.
- Prepare and submit fire safety designs and reports to ROP for approval.
- Stay updated on fire safety codes and regulations.
- Provide fire safety training to staff and clients.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate fire safety into building designs.
- Work closely with architects engineering, safety, and project team
Experience: minimum 10 years
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Oman society of engineers membership
- Fire safety certification (e.g., CFPS, FPE) preferred.
- Experience in fire safety design, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Proficiency in fire safety design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, codes, and submission processes to ROP.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
- valid driving license
